Beaches

The closest beach to the villa that we suggest you to visit is Adelianos Kampos Beach.

The beach is very well organized with umbrellas, lifeguards, changing rooms, showers, bars, etc. On large parts of the beach, the sand is very fine-grained, but at some places it is mixed with gravel and other places with pebbles. The water is relatively shallow.  Adelianos Kampos offers water sports facilities.

Rethymnno Sandy Beach: The 12 km long sandy main beach of Rethymno, which is the widest and longest beach in Crete, is organized with colourful umbrellas, sun beds, water sports facilities, etc. Furthermore, along the street on the upper side of the beach, which is ideal for afternoon walks by the sea, you will find lots of shops, tavernas and cafes.

Episkopi Beach: Is located 500m east of the city centre and it is a beach with golden sand and crystal clear shallow water, very well organized and close to all amenities of the city. It offers numerous beach bars, restaurants and cafes that offer umbrellas with sun beds, showers and changing rooms.  Additionally on Rethymno’s beach you may find water sports facilities. Furthermore, there is a boardwalk which is ideal for afternoon walks by the sea, or simply shopping or dining.

In the South coast  of Crete you can also find some of the most amazing natural beaches of Crete like “Sxinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Triopetra”, “Agios Pavlos” and “Preveli",  "Plakias", "Souda", 'Rodakino" and lastly one of Europe’s most exotic landscapes is found in Crete,  "Preveli Palm Trees Beach".

If you think that Greece is not an exotic destination you are terribly wrong.

Magical scenery that preserves greater (exotic) magic when you are among the palm trees (the kind of native Cretan palm or palm of Theophrastus as it’s called).

Most of the palm groves in Preveli were incinerated in the great fire that broke out in the area, at dawn on Sunday, August 22, 2010. Nearly 70% of the forest was destroyed. Everyone spoke back then of an enormous disaster of nature.

Fortunately, the Preveli palm trees, thanks to their fireproof capacity -unknown until recently-that distinguishes Theofrastos palm, managed not only to regenerate but also to keep the same “incinerated” adult palm trees of Theophrastus by next autumn.Chania Sandy Beaches:

Favoured by world travellers and locals alike for their spell-binding picturesque beauty and crystalline waters the top beaches in Chania, Balos Lagoon,  Elafonisi Beach, Kedrodasos Beach, Falassarna Beach and Seitan Limania Beach  are one of the best beaches of the world.
